Project Description:

RMTC is the leading consultant in facility planning for the Sand Island Sewer Basin collection system improvements and upgrades to the Sand Island Wastewater Treatment Plant (SIWWTP). As part of this project, RMTC has evaluated alternatives and performed preliminary engineering for conveyance, collection, treatment plant infrastructure upgrade options. Major conveyance work has included the evaluation of the applicability of sewer tunnels and upgrades to various pump stations and the requirements for new pump stations. Work at the Sand Island WWTP has included evaluating alternative secondary processes to meet 2035 consent decree requirements.
