Project Description:
RMTC was prime consultant in the planning of this major roadway improvement project on the island of Hawaii which encompassed approximately 4.5 miles of a major 2-lane urban arterial through developed and undeveloped lands linking Kailua-Kona and Keauhou.
RMTC surveyors completed both topographic and cadastral mapping for this challenging project. Many existing parcels in the project area had modern metes and bounds descriptions. Other RMTC responsibilities in this project as Prime A-E included overall project coordination and administration; management of public committee meetings; preparation of construction and environmental documents (EA and permits); and extensive agency and community coordination.
