Professional Experience: Mr. Figueiroa has 48 years of professional experience as a land surveyor, manager and professional services executive in Hawaii. His career at RMTC began in 1979 as a Project Surveyor. By 1993, he was named manager of the firm’s Surveying Department and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 1999. In 2001, he assumed the role of President of the firm and since October 2012 has held the position of Chairman and CEO. He remains actively involved in the mentoring of department managers and staff members and provides agency consultation on technical issues as needed.

Mr. Figueiroa oversees the philanthropic activities of the R. M. Towill Foundation, a non-profit organization established to support Hawaii’s public schools and charities, as well as local literary, educational and scientific causes. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Child & Family Service; March of Dimes, Hawaii Chapter; and Na Koa Football Club. He was also a previous member of the Board of Directors for St. Francis School and has lent his time and leadership to successful fundraising campaigns for the YMCA Friends of Youth Campaign, University of Hawaii School of Engineering, March of Dimes March for Babies and the March of Dimes Tadd Fujikawa Invitational.
