Project Description:
Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) is the largest military medical treatment facility in the Pacific providing service and care to all branches of the U.S. military. Recently, the mission of TAMC was increased to include the Veterans Administration Medical Center. This major change required a re-evaluation and update of the TAMC Master Plan in all areas of operational and capitol capacity to serve military personnel and dependents in the Pacific. RMTC provided the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with the update to the TAMC Master Plan including:
The Master Plan Update also included the programming for the delivery of new and renovation of existing facilities in the TAMC Real Property Investment Plan. This involved the identification of needed construction activities that would serve both TAMC’s traditional role as well as new role with the addition of the VA Medical Center. An alternatives analysis was conducted with major analyses of constraints and opportunities to meet mission requirements over an approximate six year planning horizon. This master planning assignment involved the coordination of multiple professional disciplines in addition to RMTC’s core staff of design and planning professionals.
