Project Description:

RMTC’s client was under contract by the U.S. Navy to privatize and redevelop several of the Navy’s existing residential subdivisions on Oahu. These included Halsey Terrace, Radford Terrace, McGrew Point, Moanalua Terrace, and Hokulani. The redevelopment project replaced multi-family neighborhoods with new roadways and utilities, multi-family and single family units, and community centers. RMTC’s services included topographic and cadastral surveying, engineering design and preparation of construction/grading plans, specifications and cost estimates for Halsey Terrace (475 units) and Radford Terrace (301 units).

The engineering services include civil (roadway, grading and utility) design of Halsey Terrace and Radford Terrace. RMTC performed a condition assessment of the existing sewer, water and drainage facilities and incorporated the salvaging and reuse of much of the infrastructure into the new communities. Quality Assurance and Quality Control were also performed.
